I don’t know if I can still be your online friend.

I mean, come on. ORANGE?!?!? How sad. Couldn’t you express a little fashion? A splash of color?

Shiny, I think what you have been doing is incredibly important, and I admire your actions of helping others. I do miss your blog posts, but posting this puts your “break” in perspective and I respect you even more for helping me think about my priorities in life vs. blogging.

You’re a good good man Mr. Shiny. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am having a week where I am doubting people’s willingness to stand up for what’s right. You gave me hope. And what a fabulous, fabulous cause.

On behalf of all women out there — thank you.

It takes a lot of strength to actually do something instead of just saying you believe in something. I’m so glad you posted. I was just thinking of you last week and wondering how you were and if you were every going to post again.

Whew, I finally made it! Sorry it took me so long, I totally should have been the first comment! ::raising my fist to the heavens at LeSombre:: LOL ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, I for one think what you are doing is counterproductive abomination to society and the heavens above. I kid! I kid!

I think what you are doing is a wonderful thing!!! I know if I was faced having to make that choice, I would want someone like you walking by my side.

As I said before, this is an admirable thing that you do. No woman who has to make that hard of a decision should be harassed after doing so. It’s like kicking a sad kitten or something.

You = good egg.

Kudos to you for volunteering your time to help those who at that moment may not be able to help themselves the way you can.

Of course I fully applaud and approve the color choice.

Mike – My Friend, you have no idea how excited I was to see a post update in my feed reader from the infamous Mr. Shiny!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m a firm believer in pro-life. But honestly? It sickens me that women have to go through harassment to get into a clinic. I understand the feelings behind their actions; but they are making the situation worse and it gives other pro-life people a bad reputation. Sigh.

With all that being said… I think it’s admirable that you’re there to help protect those women. Preventative care is one of THE most important things in healthcare of any kind. And if a woman is there for an abortion? Chances are it’s the hardest decision she’s ever had to make. And it’s NOBODY’S place to judge or make the situation worse by acting like a heretic.

Thank you for being their strong shoulder. For whatever reason they’re there. You’re good at that :).

Thanks to all of you for your comments — especially for my first venture back to this blog for a while. I don’t know how often I’ll be posting, but I really enjoy writing and have missed this and feel that it’s the right thing to do on occasion — as long as I maintain the proper balance between this and my priorities in the real world.

And thank you all for the positive comments. I’m glad I was able to share a bit about who we are and what we do.

Shiny… great post. Seriously, the efforts you did to help reduce the concern for women that are trying to get reproductive care and advice is very admirable.

I’m hoping this is just the first of many posts out here. You have been missed.

What a level-headed look at something that is clearly very divisive. I think it’s very admiral that you’re willing to stand up for your beliefs and the rights for others in a very peaceful way. If only all women could be lucky enough to have you as their escort no matter where they’re going.

You already know this, but I’ll say it anyway. You’re providing a service of immeasurable value. I’ve been one of those scared young girls trying to get to the doors of a clinic. There weren’t many protesters, thank goodness, but there was also an escort. And just the fact that there was someone there to help, to guide me, made all the difference in the world.
