You already know this, but I’ll say it anyway. You’re providing a service of immeasurable value. I’ve been one of those scared young girls trying to get to the doors of a clinic. There weren’t many protesters, thank goodness, but there was also an escort. And just the fact that there was someone there to help, to guide me, made all the difference in the world.

What a level-headed look at something that is clearly very divisive. I think it’s very admiral that you’re willing to stand up for your beliefs and the rights for others in a very peaceful way. If only all women could be lucky enough to have you as their escort no matter where they’re going.

Shiny… great post. Seriously, the efforts you did to help reduce the concern for women that are trying to get reproductive care and advice is very admirable.

Thanks to all of you for your comments — especially for my first venture back to this blog for a while. I don’t know how often I’ll be posting, but I really enjoy writing and have missed this and feel that it’s the right thing to do on occasion — as long as I maintain the proper balance between this and my priorities in the real world.

And thank you all for the positive comments. I’m glad I was able to share a bit about who we are and what we do.

Mike – My Friend, you have no idea how excited I was to see a post update in my feed reader from the infamous Mr. Shiny!!!

I’m a firm believer in pro-life. But honestly? It sickens me that women have to go through harassment to get into a clinic. I understand the feelings behind their actions; but they are making the situation worse and it gives other pro-life people a bad reputation. Sigh.

With all that being said… I think it’s admirable that you’re there to help protect those women. Preventative care is one of THE most important things in healthcare of any kind. And if a woman is there for an abortion? Chances are it’s the hardest decision she’s ever had to make. And it’s NOBODY’S place to judge or make the situation worse by acting like a heretic.

Thank you for being their strong shoulder. For whatever reason they’re there. You’re good at that .
