I just watched Dark Knight in … February, I think? And my review is about the same as yours. Good, but I don’t think it lived up to the hype.

I’ve been using Redbox since I lived in Boston. There was one right across the street from my subway stop so it was incredibly convenient. I just found out about the free Monday promo codes a couple weeks ago when I joined a Freecycle group, and saw them posted there every Monday. That’s a bummer that they’re cutting them back, though I haven’t actually used a code yet.

Shiny, you are as bad as me when it comes to movie watching! I am always a year or so behind everyone else – I am just not a huge movie person, though. I mean, I love them, but I don’t generally go out of my way to see them.
I’ve used Redbox once – it was a pretty decent deal -my kid was dying to see some movie (I don’t even remember what it was) and so we got it. I don’t use Netflix, either.
You make me feel normal – yay! Haha

I didn’t enjoy “Dark Knight” as much as everyone else. It was OK, but that’s all.

I’m currently subscribed to the 1-DVD-at-a-time option of Netflix, which ends up costing me just over $9/month. True, I don’t get anywhere near 9 rentals out of it, so it isn’t cheaper then RedBox. But the selection is obviously not even in the same ballpark.

But the real reason I have it is for Netflix Watch Instantly. My kids are watching the first season of Heroes and they and I are watching the new Dr. Who episodes and the first season of Star Trek (The Original Series). It works with my TiVo, so that’s an extra convenience.

I liked “Dark Knight”. I thought Heath Ledger was very good.

Re: DVD Reservations: If you’re looking for a copy of Who ‘Dat Ninja and are afraid that your local Redbox won’t have it — you can go online and pre-reserve it! You’ll have 24 hours to get to the location you choose with the DVD before it becomes up-for-grabs again.

I didn’t know this! This is good to know, because I use my free Monday code almost every Monday.
