Today we celebrate a day — a very, very special day — in the blogosphere. A day of joy. A day of prosperity and happiness. Today is a day of synnergy: a bridge between business and boners:
Yes. Today happens to be the birthday of Randy and Jason Sklar, otherwise known as the Sklar Brothers! You’ll either find them extremely funny or extremely annoying.
But aside from that — it has been deemed that today is a day to appreciate and recognize a special subset of my readers: those of you who read what I have to say (or simply look for videos of me auditioning for American Idol or showing off my balls) but decide not to leave any comments. Today speaks to you. And I want to welcome you to Shiny’s Takeout in my own special way.
So — if you’re one of those lurkers who never comments — let me know you’re out there! Write in and say hi. Let me know how you heard about Shiny’s Takeout. What brought you here? What do you like? What suggestions do you have? Are you one of my fun Mindsay compadres? Would you think that a puppet version of me would be just plain creepy?
Tell you what: as an incentive to you — if this is your first time commenting, or if you’ve commented on my blog less than four times — if you reveal some information about yourself, I will write a haiku about you. It’s the least I can do for my loyal lurkers.
Comment away!

I guess you already knew that I read this because I comment via twitter
Nat: We’re trying a new product: egg beater rolls. Let me know how that goes…
Hilly: I think someone just brought the funny!
Imagine322: … that you do. But you get a haiku anyway:

Apparently I’ve missed out on delurker day or something.
Does it count if you forget to comment on blogs? Because I do that a lot. I will just close my laptop and then open it days later and realize that there are 4-5 blogs I forget to comment on. Or maybe I just get distracted by shiny objects.

I’ll be like “Living Oprah” and follow everything in your post that sounds like a command, so here you go, Shiny. These are the things you have commanded me to do:
So — if you’re one of those lurkers who never comments — let me know you’re out there!
- I don’t consider myself a lurker, per se, but you might see it that way, so here I am.
Write in and say hi.
- Hi.
Let me know how you heard about Shiny’s Takeout.
- ynihs.mindsay.com ring a bell?
What brought you here?
- The internets (not to be confused with the internet invented by Al Gore)
What do you like?
- Praise. And lots of it.
What suggestions do you have?
- Praise me more. I’m awesome.
Are you one of my fun Mindsay compadres?
- [kuhm-pah-drey] Why, yes, I do believe I am. We might have shared a butterfly comment or two.
Would you think that a puppet version of me would be just plain creepy?
- Not any creepier than this doll I have of you made entirely of hair I’ve secretly collected from your hairbrush and your bathroom drain! I mean, yes, that might be creepy…
I have one question.
Please forgive if you’ve answered.
Who wants some koootchayyyyyyyyyyyie!

Sarah: I’ve been there myself, believe me. But I appreciate the comment this time around!
So wait — you can’t go
To this year’s TequilaCon?
Wow, man — that just sucks.
suze Your comment is DeLurking Day in reverse — as you’ve commented a hell of a lot more than I’ve ever responded to you! But I feel that you’re haiku-worthy nonetheless…

“Ten pounds? That’s okay…”
Dessie: Yes. I remember ynihS. And the impostor who lurked on THAT blog.
And you might want to treasure that hair — I have a feeling that I’ll only grow a finite amount of it.
Do you laugh with me?
Or more likely — laugh at me?
Happy Crazy 6.
whall: You know — their R-rated version was much, much funnier when I saw it. Had me laughing uncontrollably.
So – as for your answer: Party over here!
I heard about Shiny’s Takeout during dinner with you and socKs. I hope to get back to DC soon, now that I can fly again, and see you guys again. Tell socKs I said hello!
